About The Role
As a continuously growing company, we are looking forexperienced and skilled Agricultural Technicianswith passion and drive to join our team at our depot just outside Hungerford, Berkshire. John Deere is recognised as the leading manufacturer of agricultural and turf machinery, and their machinery today is adapting to the changing technological advances and packed with remote connected diagnostics and repairs!
This job will allow you to enhance your technical abilities whilst working for a highly successful family-owned business.
Day to day duties will include:
- Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance work on agricultural/plant machinery. This will be both at our customers’ premises and within the workshop at the depot
- Ensuring job cards are written up promptly and accurately
- Following our health & safety regulations and policies at all times
- Taking part in technical training, both at Head Office and also at the John Deere training centre
- Mentoring apprentices and trainees
Are you a dedicated, self-motivated, highly skilled engineer with a passion for agricultural or plant machinery, or with a diagnostic motor mechanical background and looking for a change of direction? If so, we want to hear fromyou.
We can offer you all the training you need to transfer your skills to our industry! This includes in-house technical training and also attending courses at John Deere\’s training centre.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate the following experience & skills:
- Strong diagnostic ability with good all-round technical knowledge of agricultural/turf/plant machinery (ideally John Deere!) would be preferred
- A relevant technical qualification (such as an Agricultural Engineering) would be advantageous
- A driving license is essential
- Strong customer service and customer facing skills
- The ability to work self-motivate and work individually, managing your own workload and also able to work as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
Unfortunately if you do not possess strong mechanical experience then we will not be able to proceed further with your application.
About The Package
Our excellent package for a skilled and experienced Technician includes a highly competitive basic salary of £30,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience), overtime, out of hours call out payment, incentive scheme (generous bonus and commission), up to 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), company vehicle, tool allowance, pension scheme and ongoing training.
We offer uncapped overtime (in line with working time regulations)!
