Overview
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a 15-year-old boy living in the HU5 area of Hull. He is non-verbal but friendly and engages well with others. He enjoys listening to music, being outdoors, running freely and playing interactively, and the company of adults. He prefers not to feel confined and needs space. Constant supervision is essential as he lacks awareness of danger. Support will include personal care and help with feeding and toileting, as he does not initiate these independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and help with feeding and toileting as required.
- Offer supervision to ensure safety and support his engagement in activities.
- Support him in activities he enjoys while respecting his need for space.
Qualifications
- A kind, patient, and attentive personality.
- A willingness to learn; training will be provided.
- Experience with children who have Down syndrome or similar needs is an advantage, but not essential.
