What you\’ll be doing
- Reporting to the Group Publicity and Marketing Director, lead our Marketing department of ten, and direct line manage our team of senior marketers
- Member of the Little, Brown Leadership Group
- Ensure all our marketing activity is impactful and aligned with the long-term strategy for the business
- Set and manage marketing budgets, regularly reviewing spend and re-forecasting
- Oversee delivery of effective social media and digital marketing strategy
- Represent the business where relevant with authors, agents, customers and other third parties, including delivering effective pitches
- Champion creativity, innovation and results within every element of our publishing and marketing activity
- Attract, manage and develop talented marketing team members with strong market awareness
- Evaluate and report to the business on marketing activity and results
Who we are looking for
A positive, energetic self-starter, the successful candidate will have proven senior level marketing experience within publishing, as well as strong team leadership experience.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with excellent business and commercial understanding, who is able to effectively lead an ROI-focused team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
They will have proven experience of leading high-level marketing and brand campaigns, and will bring creativity, consumer understanding and up-to-date knowledge of the market to both their own campaigns and those of their team.

This role can be based at our London, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Newcastle, or Bristol office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
