Outreach Recovery Worker

Job Title: OutreachRecovery WorkerLocation:East LondonRate: £22 – £23 P/H Ltd Umbrella (£21.20 PAYE Inclusive)We are seeking an Outreach Recovery Worker to join our team, dedicated to locating, identifying, and supporting individuals experiencing rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping. In this role, you will work diligently to facilitate positive changes in the lives of vulnerable individuals, assisting them in securing settled accommodation and amplifying their voices to express their strengths and needs.Key Responsibilities:Conducting outreach shifts in various weather conditions, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.Engaging with individuals experiencing rough sleeping and street-based activities.Collaborating with partner agencies to facilitate access to accommodation, healthcare services, benefits, and other necessary support services.Accurately documenting interactions with individuals and professionals to provide seamless support.General Requirements:Flexibility to work across different operational sites as needed.Availability to work unsociable hours, weekends, and during severe weather conditions.Continuous improvement of personal performance and skills through training and development opportunities.Candidate Requirements:Experience in supporting individuals with severe and multiple unmet needs.Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals in need of support.Proficiency in recording sensitive information in a timely and confidential manner.Knowledge of homelessness-related issues such as the benefits system, substance use, mental or physical health, and housing.Experience in working with individuals impacted by homelessness, mental health, and substance use.Familiarity with Safeguarding Procedures and their application.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those experiencing rough sleeping and meet the qualifications outlined above, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position.
