The Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) for TowerXchange will develop and implement a marketing strategy to achieve delegate attendance, revenue targets, and sponsorship lead generation for the events, research and membership portfolio.
Leading across 5 key areas: data/customer insights, digital marketing, event marketing, marketing communications, and social media. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll collaborate with cross-franchise leaders and provide data insights to improve marketing/digital activities across the brand group.
Your leadership will be crucial for:

  1. Evolving our marketing: Generate sponsorship leads alongside delegate revenue.
  2. Digital-first strategy: Implement a holistic brand approach across digital channels.

Note: Overseas travel to events may be required to develop a better knowledge of events and to participate in delegate networking.

DELIVERABLES

Event Marketing & Audience Development

  1. Drive delegate registration and attendance across brand groups.
  2. Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (social, search, email, telemarketing, partnerships) to achieve conversion and attendee return.
  3. Implement SEO, CRO for event websites and develop data-driven pricing strategies.
  4. Lead inbound marketing transition with content campaigns, manage marketing database growth using Marketo.
  5. Analyse performance across channels, optimize customer journey for all events.
  6. Develop social media strategy for brand awareness and engagement.
  7. Standardise delegate acquisition measurement, track & report KPIs.
  8. Monitor competitor activity.

People Management & Financial Responsibility

  1. Manage & mentor junior marketers, aligning objectives with business goals.
  2. Manage event marketing budgets for optimal ROI.
  3. Partner with the events team to create and deliver marketing strategies.
  4. Implement best practices, ensure structured campaign analytics framework.
  5. Deliver regular reports (monthly) on performance across channels and events.
  6. Build & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage multiple priorities & keep stakeholders updated.
  7. Own copywriting & proofing for external marketing collateral.

Key Interfaces

Collaborate with Marketing Director, Event Programming, Brand Marketing Leads, Editorial & Content teams to achieve business goals.

Required Experience & Skills:

  1. Extensive B2B events marketing leadership, ideally in telecoms, financial services, or professional services.
  2. Proven ability to design and deliver successful multi-channel marketing campaigns (performance marketing, social media, etc.).
  3. Proficiency in Marketo, Salesforce, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter), CMS systems, design tools (Canva, basic Photoshop), and basic HTML creation.
  4. Working knowledge of paid advertising (GA4 included).
  5. Experience in event commercialization (including launches) and stakeholder engagement.
  6. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and ROI optimization (proven success in managing marketing costs).
  7. Extensive experience managing and developing high-performing marketing teams, fostering a collaborative environment with strong communication skills (articulating metrics, challenges, and opportunities).
  8. Ability to lead and manage local and remote (junior) team members.
