We are looking for talented and enthusiastic senior animators for exciting, high-profile feature film and video game cinematic projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong affinity for storytelling and a strong knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, and Motion Builder.
This is a hybrid work opportunity. Please note that during the 90-day probationary period, this position will require working US East Coast hours. Ideal candidates would be based in Scotland and must be legally authorized to work in the UK.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality realistic animations utilizing hand keyframes and motion capture data for high-profile film/TV and video game projects
- Managing shot/sequence responsibilities within fast-paced deadlines
- Collaborate with the Supervisor and other artists on the team to create a cohesive vision
- Ensure that all animations meet the project’s creative vision and technical specifications
- Implement timing, pacing, and motion principles to enhance the realism and impact of animations
- Work directly in Unreal Engine
- Other duties as assigned
- 6+ years proven as a 3D animator on film/television or video game projects, with ideal candidates having at least 2 years experience animating in engine
- Experience in Unreal Engine, Maya, and MotionBuilder is a must
- Strong Physicality and Motion Capture editing skills
- Excellent rigging skills is a plus
- Ability to lead by example
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Must be able to take direction and effectively communicate with the team
- Must understand storytelling, narratives, character motivation
- Strong communication skills in client-facing situations
- Knowledge of virtual production pipelines is preferred
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools for 3D animation
- Self-motivated for growth with an interest in staying knowledgeable on evolving tools and technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges
- Passion for film, television, and video games
- A solid foundation of patience and perseverance
