As the General Manager – LAC Operations (North), you\’ll be responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and service delivery of the NDIS Local Area Coordination (LAC) program across Northern Queensland. Your leadership will support teams in Townsville and Mackay, building inclusive communities and ensuring participants with disability are supported to live their best lives.

What You\’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the delivery of LAC services in alignment with the NDIS Partners in the Community (PITC) program.
- Manage service operations across multiple sites, with a focus on financial sustainability, performance, and contractual compliance.
- Oversee regional teams in Townsville and Mackay, fostering a values-led, high-performing workplace culture.
- Build collaborative relationships with NDIA, community stakeholders, and government partners.
- Champion community capacity-building initiatives and person-centred practice aligned to NDIS principles.
- Analyse performance data to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
- Ensure operational excellence and risk mitigation through proactive planning and escalation.
What You\’ll Bring:
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary, community-based teams across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of service operations, financial drivers, and contract management.
- Demonstrated success building positive, inclusive, and high-performing cultures.
- Experience delivering services aligned to NDIS and the Partners in the Community program.
- High-level strategic and operational planning, risk management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally and interstate as required.
Qualifications, Certificates and Registrations:
- Tertiary qualifications in health, management, social science or similar.
- Current unrestricted driver\’s licence.
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience managing multi-state service delivery operations.
- Qualifications or 5+ years\’ experience in business or HR management.
- Previous experience in the disability sector.
- Demonstrated people management expertise.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
