About The Role
As the lead of our New Ventures pillar, you will be instrumental in driving the team that is helping us explore and serve new user segments. You will own the process from ideation and concept stages to validating and testing key assumptions, and ultimately designing, testing, and building an MVP that can scale if successful.
This is a senior level role where you will be in charge of diversifying the product offering across Cleo as well as exploring new value propositions for existing customers. This is the chance to own an area of the business that is a key priority for our current strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Leading a department with several direct reports – contributing to both product and company-wide strategy
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cohesion
- Validating financial and operational assumptions to ensure scalability
- Partnering with marketing, finance, and operations to scale successful MVPs
- Aligning product direction with strategic goals and measurable outcomes
Qualifications
- Experience building 0–1 consumer financial products at a startup or scale-up
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to say “no” to stay focused
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to work almost as a \’mini-CEO\’ of the products you have built
- Ability to develop strategy for future product propositions
- Comfortable aligning stakeholders and communicating product trade-offs clearly
- Collaborative leadership style that empowers cross-functional teams
- Creative mindset with a passion for rethinking financial experiences
- High energy and ownership mindset with a drive to make products succeed
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
