We are a small, friendly construction company based in Peterborough looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchen Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent carpentry skills, and the ability to work efficiently to install kitchens in residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and fit kitchen units, worktops, and appliances in residential and commercial projects
• Measure and prepare the kitchen area for installation
• Assemble and install cabinetry, ensuring a high standard of finish
• Carry out plumbing and electrical work where necessary, or work with contractors to complete these tasks
• Ensure all work meets building regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Liaise with clients, ensuring all requirements are met and any issues are addressed promptly
• Provide excellent customer service and keep clients informed of progress
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter, Joiner, or Carpenter
• Strong knowledge of kitchen installation and fitting techniques
• Experience in working with power tools and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret kitchen plans and technical drawings
• Knowledge of plumbing and electrical work, or willingness to work alongside qualified contractors
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Full UK driving license (required for travel to various job sites)
