Cleaning Operative – St Andrew\’s Primary School

Salary: Grade 1 SCP 2-3 £24,413 – £24,796 (Pro Rata)

Position: Part‑time permanent contract (15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, pro‑rata)

Start date: 2nd March 2026 (or as soon as possible)

St. Andrew’s Primary School is a large, vibrant and diverse forward‑thinking school with a highly committed and hard‑working team. The Head Teacher and Governing Body are looking for a committed individual with experience and understanding to achieve high standards of cleaning, to join the School Cleaning team and contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleaning across the school premises.
  • Work well as part of the cleaning team within a fast‑paced school environment.
  • Ensure timely and efficient cleaning to support the school’s standards of hygiene and safety.

Qualifications / Experience

Experience and understanding of cleaning procedures in a school environment is desirable. Highly organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
