A dynamic and fast-growing independent surveying practice is looking for a confident and forward-thinking Senior Building Surveyor to join its expanding team.

The Role
You’ll be a senior member of the team, trusted to manage complex projects, lead client relationships, and contribute to the broader direction of the practice. You\’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior surveyors and play a visible role in business development and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a wide range of building surveying services across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
- Provide expert advice on professional matters including defects, dilapidations, party wall issues, pre-acquisition surveys, and contract administration.
- Build and manage strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and point of escalation.
- Support the strategic growth of the business through input into systems, service development, and client acquisition.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior surveyors as the team continues to expand.
- Embrace and influence modern, flexible working practices, using technology to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced, self-motivated building surveyor with a strong technical foundation and the commercial acumen to operate at a senior level. You want more than a job — you want influence, ownership, and the opportunity to shape the growth of a forward-thinking practice.
Requirements:
- MRICS qualified or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally including client-facing consultancy or project delivery roles.
- Strong technical capability across both project and professional surveying disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage projects and stakeholders independently.
- Commercially aware, with a track record of adding value to client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Comfortable with flexible/hybrid working and modern tools for remote collaboration.
