We are currently working with a special needs provisions across Bradford, we are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants for Sept 2025!! As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs and disabilities.

Job Specification

  • Assist pupils with physical disabilities and complex medical needs
  • To provide quality support to the class teacher and other teaching assistants
  • Be willing to work on a 121 basis and small groups
  • Be willing to provide personal/intimate care to students aged 2-19
  • Support students with their social and emotional development
  • Monitor and record the progress of the students and provide feedback to the class teacher and parents when required
  • Assist in creating visual aids, resources and learning materials to enhance the learning experience for each student
  • Provide positive reinforcement for students and encourage their development

Person specification

  • The successful candidate will have experience in a similar setting or have a strong care background
  • Has good communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
  • Is patient empathetic and able to build strong working relationships with students and other members of staff
  • Has the ability to work as part of a team and also independently when required
