We are looking to recruit workers to join as a Production Operative based in York area. The job will include transplanting small seedlings, moving and dispatching plants. Duties will include: Dispatch work: selecting trays of quality plants, collecting, preparing plants for dispatch, labelling and moving. Potting plants: using a potting machine and hand planting. Plant care: weeding, watering and dead heading and sweeping up. Keeping the areas clean: sweeping and keeping your work areas clean. Propagation: assembling and filling trays, These roles are not customer facing. You will be working in our plant growing polytunnels / greenhouses, or outside areas. Experience in a similar role would be useful, but is not essential as training can be provided. Hours Monday to Thursday 7:30 am 16:00 Friday 7:30 am 15:00 Pay rate: £11.44ph Overtime pay rate: £16.05ph after 39 hours.
