We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated professional who has experience working with a diverse mix of horses — from elite racehorses and competition champions to young foals. Your Role

As our Equine Imaging Technician, you’ll play a crucial role at the heart of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging, with a focus on standing MRI alongside exciting opportunities to work with CT, radiography, and nuclear scintigraphy. You’ll be hands-on preparing horses for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety, while working closely with our expert specialists, enthusiastic interns, and dedicated nursing team to keep our MRI service running smoothly. Plus, you’ll have the rewarding chance to mentor and inspire junior vets and nurses, helping them grow their imaging skills and confidence.

About Us

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a large, well-equipped equine hospital offering both first opinion and referral services. Our team of 33 equine vets includes specialists in surgery, medicine, and lameness, supported by 15 trainee and qualified nurses. Our facilities include MRI, CT, radiography, and nuclear scintigraphy, along with a comprehensive in-house laboratory and mobile equipment to support ambulatory care.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a qualified veterinary nurse or hold an equine science qualification. They should have a strong understanding of equine physiology and significant experience in handling horses. Additionally, the candidate must be a confident and collaborative team player who thrives in a specialist hospital environment.

It would be advantageous to have hands-on experience with standing MRI, CT, radiography, or scintigraphy imaging. Previous experience in equine diagnostic imaging would also be beneficial. Experience/an interest in training or mentoring junior vets or nurses is also desirable. Excellent communication and organisational skills are important for success in this role.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role with no out-of-hours work. While your weekly hours will remain consistent, we offer flexibility around scheduling to support work-life balance.
