Unique opportunity for a lawyer to join the Edinburgh offices of one of the largestFinancial Regulation Team in the UK with a mix of 25 lawyers and compliance professionals split over Leeds, London and Edinburgh. The team has a very strong reputation for regulated lending and banking and is ranked in Band One of Chambers and Partners 2011 for Consumer Finance. The firm\’s Payments practice is also considered to be one of the leading Payments practices in the UK.
Role Profile:
- A strong and growing part of the team advises on wider regulatory issues, including the regulation of funds, wealth and asset management, insurance distribution, capital requirements and the client assets rules.The team\’s work is varied and interesting: our advice ranges from retail customer terms and customer journeys (often at the cutting edge of product development), through to commercial interactions for highly regulated financial sector businesses, conduct matters, interaction with the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman, and remediation and contentious issues. The Financial Regulatory team also works closely with the firm\’s otherteams on FS transactions, banking and funds structuring work. The team is unstuffy and down to earth, but also highly ambitious and hardworking. Its approach to service delivery is highly commercial and innovative with an uncompromising approach to quality.
