Salary details: £21,888.30 – £22,656.62 dependant on experience & qualifications

Job Term: Permanent Appointment following a successful Probationary period

Appointment Type: Full Time and Part Time positions available

Hours: 40 hours per week Term Time (Hours 08:15-16:15)

We are delighted advertise the post of Learning Support Workers at Alderwasley Hall School!

This is a term time post, based in our nurturing school. We are seeking individuals who can provide support to our young people, the teachers, the curriculum and the school during the education day. You will be creating a happy, safe and caring environment, which enables our students to learn and communicate with confidence.

About us

Alderwasley Hall School and Sixth Form provides exceptional education for day and residential students aged 5 to 20. We transform the lives of young people with High-Functioning ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Asperger’s Syndrome, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Developmental Language Disorder. We are also highly experienced in meeting associated diagnoses and needs, such as Selective Mutism, anxieties and phobias. Our goal for every one of our students is to be happy and healthy with a sense of belonging and purpose.

Criteria:-

We are looking for individuals who are:-
• Highly motivated, hardworking and flexible
• Resilient
• Have a deep desire to educate and support young people.
• Basic understanding of SEND children and their needs.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Desirable:-

• Previous classroom / support experience
• GCSE English & Maths at C or above
• NVQ Level III (Teaching Assistant)
• SEND Understanding and Knowledge
