General Summary

This position reports to the Logistics and Freight Manager or their designee and is located in Banbury, UK. The primary responsibility is building, setting up, and dismantling trackside infrastructure, and overseeing the safe and compliant loading and unloading of sea, air, and road freight. When at the factory the role focuses on unloading, loading, maintenance, and servicing of the team’s sea freight kits. The role is key to the smooth running of the team’s operations at all venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Help in the safe and compliant unloading of sea freight.
  • Construct and maintain the garage infrastructure system to a standard expected by the team.
  • Help in loading and unloading of air and road freight.
  • Take on support roles during race weekends in a safe and professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Trackside Operations Manager or their designee.
  • Maintain all pit equipment in accordance with schedules and presentation standards.
  • Keep the garage and tools clean and in good condition at both factory and trackside.
  • Follow all safety regulations at all venues.

Education and Work Experience

  • GCSE, high school diploma, or equivalent required.
  • Experience with insulation and mechanical projects, including equipment repairs preferred.
  • Professional motorsport or high‑pressure industry experience preferred but not essential.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to diagnose equipment faults and devise solutions.
  • Self‑motivated with initiative.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving ability.
  • Knowledge of complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and time‑sensitive conditions.

  • Valid Category B driving licence.

Work Environment Physical Demands

The role requires extensive domestic and international travel, long and flexible hours including weekends, and frequently involves lifting up to 50 lb. Repetitive bending, squatting, and manual dexterity are common. The work environment includes machinery, race cars, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and relevant statutory legislation.
