Project and Event Manager

High Peak Community Arts is looking for an experienced project manager with events management experience to manage the Glossop Hub of Derbyshire Makes in its second year.

Derbyshire Makes is a three-year programme entering its second year, continuing to celebrate making in all its forms and shine a spotlight on the county\’s extraordinary creative and cultural industries.

Contract Duration: September 2025 – May 2026 (50 days, £7,500), with possible extension to May 2027

Job Requirements

The project brief covers up to 50 days of work from September 2025 – May 2026, concentrated in the set up and final delivery phases of the project.

For example, it could break down as: September – 10 days; October – 4 days; November – 4 days; December – 2 days; January – 3 days; February – 3 days; March – 4 days; April – 10 days; May – 10 days.

The fee is £7,500 and we are open to contract as either freelance or short-term PAYE. The role requires in person meetings and frequent travel around the Glossop area, with administration based either at our office in Whaley Bridge or remotely.

The contract may be extended to year 3, dependent on confirmation of further contracting with Arts Derbyshire.
