Support Worker – Full-time opportunity – Day and Night shifts

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £12.25 rising to £12.45

Location: Birchwood Lodge, Lincoln

Are you a great communicator? Building relationships, where each person’s views are valued and taken into account.

Are you kind, compassionate, or empathetic? Although prior experience as a Support Worker is ideal, it is not mandatory as full training and enhanced specialist training is available

A Care Support Worker is a professional who helps individuals with complex needs to live independently and access the local community. They are trained, skilled, experienced and highly qualified professionals who work as part of a team to carry out a range of tasks and duties to support individuals with the physical and mental aspects of their health condition. Complex Care Support Workers enable those who are vulnerable to live an independent life whilst providing individualised, compassionate care.

Duties Of a Support Worker

Companionship

Personal Care & Support

The teaching of independent living skills

Management of medication

Community-based activities such as swimming, social activities, or other leisure activities

Support to develop new hobbies and interests

Help with household tasks, budgeting, shopping etc

Birchwood Lodge is a specialist supported living service, designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and complex behaviours that may challenge. Our service is focused on enabling residents to live independent and meaningful lives as active members of the community.

Birchwood House is a purpose-built, high-intensity specialist home, designed to better support the needs of individuals with profound and severe disabilities, as well as those with complex behaviours that may challenge. Our service is particularly suited for individuals who have been in long-term hospital placements, often residing out of county, as well as those who have faced difficulties in securing suitable long-term placements or have experienced placement breakdowns with other providers unable to meet their complex needs.
