Technical Lead – Go/Golang
Location: Hybrid (UK-based, minimal office visits)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary: Up to ÂŁ78,000, depending on experience
Join a fast-growing & award winning technology company who are investing heavily in their tech teams and looking for a skilled Engineering Team Lead with a focus on Golang (Go) to drive innovation and mentor developers in a collaborative, modern development environment.
The Role:
As a Tech Lead (Go), you’ll take ownership of technical direction and standards, work closely with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in shaping our modern Go-based platforms. You’ll also mentor engineers and champion engineering best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and coach a team of developers, supporting skill growth and collaboration
- Own architectural decisions, code quality, and scalability of systems
- Drive technical discussions and continuous improvement across the team
- Review code, set coding standards, and maintain high-quality delivery
- Collaborate with Product and Design to align engineering with business objectives
- Stay up to date with emerging tech and implement best-fit solutions
You’ll Need:
- Proven experience building applications in Golang
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services
- Solid background in designing scalable, modular systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
