In addition to providing all types of forklift trucks, from powered pallet trucks to wire-guided systems, Rushlift hires and maintains a wide range of industrial equipment such as sweepers, mobile plants, and lorry loader cranes.
About the role:
You will be responsible for managing Rushlift’s national team of Area Sales Managers and Key Account Managers across the MHE division. This role ensures execution of the strategic sales plan, achievement of revenue and customer growth targets, and effective development of team performance. Working closely with the Sales Director, you will also collaborate with service, operations, and rental teams to deliver consistent and high-quality customer experiences.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach, and support Area Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to achieve and exceed targets.
- Implement the national sales plan across rental, sales, and service offerings.
- Ensure adherence to sales process, reporting standards, and CRM usage.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers on strategic client relationships.
- Support the development of multi-site customer contracts and frameworks.
- Actively engage in customer meetings and high-value negotiations.
- Monitor sales pipeline, forecasts, and conversion rates.
- Work with the Sales Director to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support pricing strategies and margin management.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of the sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set individual KPIs.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with service, rental, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to marketing on market trends and customer needs.
What we are looking for:
- Strong commercial background, formal training in sales management or business development.
- Experience in capital equipment or MHE sales/rental within a team leadership role.
- National or multi-region experience managing B2B sales teams.
- Commercial acumen with strong analytical ability
- In-depth knowledge of MHE and rental models
- CRM and data-driven sales management
