GBCC Adjunct Faculty – Lab instructor for English Composition I

Location: Great Bay Community College, Portsmouth Campus

Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.

Semester : Fall 2025 Semester

Adjunct Faculty: Lab instructor for English Composition I lab

The instructor will be responsible for preparing, teaching, and tutoring in the College Composition I lab. This course will be taught on campus. Experience using Canvas is preferred.

Course: ENGL 111

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in-classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $825-$975 per contact hour. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

Education: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Rhetoric, or Literature from a recognized college or university.

Experience: Two (2) years of teaching English/Composition is preferred.
