Job Overview:
We are a diverse, multicultural Christian community dedicated to living life abundantly and loving as Christ loves us. As a church family, we seek to nurture our young people in faith and community, and we are seeking a passionate Children and Youth Leader to join us in this mission. This part-time position offers a chance to shape the lives of young people through discipleship, worship, outreach, and pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities:
Ministry & Pastoral Care
Collaborate with the wider Pastoral Team to nurture and disciple youth in the church
Participate in various church events, including services, courses, conferences, and prayer gatherings
Sunday Ministry
Oversee on-site and online youth services, ensuring accessibility for all participants
Ensure Sunday School and Youth Group sessions are well-staffed with appropriate leaders
Encourage youth involvement in the wider church community
Weekday Engagement
Support and encourage participation in mid-week youth activities
Organise early evening clubs and social gatherings for spiritual and social development
Youth Worship Leadership
Guide the spiritual growth of youth through praise and worship
Offer pathways for young people to serve and develop in the Worship Ministry in collaboration with the Worship Team
Outreach & Mission
Partner with local churches and community organisations to facilitate faith-sharing opportunities
Lead occasional away trips and off-site events
Children’s Ministry Oversight
Support and oversee the Children’s Ministry team when needed
Candidate Requirements:
Experience working with children or youth in a church or community setting
Strong Christian faith and the ability to lead others in spiritual development
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
A heart for outreach, mission, and cross-cultural engagement
What We Offer:
£14.00 – £14.50 per hour pay
