Connect by Cocentric is growing fast – and we’re looking for a hands-on Platform Engineering Manager to shape its technical future. Connect bridges HR systems and digital tools to give frontline employees seamless, secure access – without email addresses or complexity. Backed by recent funding and used by some of the UK’s biggest brands, the platform is scaling fast.
As our Platform Engineering Manager, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer delivery – setting technical direction, guiding architectural decisions, and helping scale a secure, modular, and high-performing platform. You’ll lead on everything from architecture and infrastructure to mentoring engineers and helping shape the product roadmap.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, lead, and evolve the technical architecture of the Connect platform
- Make decisions on tech stack, infrastructure, frameworks, and integration approaches
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Connect to align architecture with roadmap priorities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership – contributing code, conducting reviews, and guiding decisions
- Mentor and support a growing engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable systems
- Focus on performance, reliability, and security at scale
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong experience with Service Fabric and Kubernetes
- Proven experience architecting and scaling B2B SaaS platforms
- Experience integrating with APIs and identity platforms (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD)
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure – ideally Azure and Service Fabric
- A collaborative mindset – comfortable working across product, engineering, and client delivery
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Background in IAM or SSO is a bonus
