Contract DevOps Consultant £450 – £550 per day Remote 6 months Overview We are seeking a Contract DevOps Consultant to join a market-leading retail organization for a 6-month remote contract. A successful candidate will assist with a migration project from TFS to Azure DevOps. Experience Previously worked on a TFS migration to Azure DevOps Experience with using both Oracle and .Net development Experience of a full life-cycle migration to Azure Responsibilities / Project Overview Assessment and Planning Understand our client's current TFS setup Determine the desired Azure DevOps setup & configuration Create a plan for the migration Preparation / configuration of Azure DevOps environment Prepare Azure DevOps Environment Configure Azure DevOps (repositories / work item types and other settings) Security Set up security and permissions in Azure DevOps Ensure users and teams have appropriate access levels Testing Thoroughly test the configuration Run trial migration to ensure everything works as required Validate that work items, source code, builds and release functions work as specified Data migration Migrate source code repositories from TFS to Azure DevOps Migrate work items (including types, queries and attachments) to Azure DevOps Communication / User training / best practices / documentation Communicate plan and timelines to stakeholders Document the Azure DevOps setup & configuration Training users (including producing documentation) on best practice approach to user Azure DevOps Training administrators (including producing documentation) Go-live support Plan the cutover date for the migration Perform the migration Manage the switch over from TFS to Azure DevOps Post-migration support Provide user support during transition to Azure DevOps Monitor for issues and rectify Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions Ltd is one of the longest-established independent technology recruitment consultancies in the UK.
