Position Overview: Reconciliation Operations & Strategy Associate
Location: United Kingdom (Remote, with some in-person requirements)

This role focuses on leading and optimizing daily reconciliation operations for both fiat and crypto across Coinbase’s global footprint. You’ll be the go-to expert for complex escalations, act as a bridge between outsourced teams (BPOs) and internal stakeholders, and contribute to strategic process improvements.
- Manage complex reconciliation workflows for fiat and crypto products
- Resolve escalated issues from BPO teams with accuracy and timeliness
- Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) to the Reconciliation Manager
- Assist in driving process improvements and automation strategies
- Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation processes and recommend enhancements
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
- Oversee quality control of outsourced reconciliation tasks
- Mediate between BPOs and Coinbase stakeholders
- Ensure daily reconciliation is completed with precision
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, external audit standards, and regulations
- 7+ years in reconciliation, accounting, or finance ops (preferably in fintech or global environments)
- Experience managing or overseeing BPO teams
- Strong analytical thinking and familiarity with reconciliation workflows/tools
- Knowledge of basic SQL
- Track record of acting as a decision-making point for operational escalations
- Experience with crypto reconciliation
- Skills in automation tools, scripting, or reconciliation software
- History of collaborating with diverse teams across complex environments
Coinbase is remote-first, but not remote-only. You’ll be expected to attend team offsites and company-wide in-person events throughout the year. Travel support is provided.
