Lead Mechanical Engineer Gattaca Projects is the Engineering and Technology consultancy part of the group providing Statement of Work (SoW), outcome-based solutions. Industry trends are pushing more engagements towards SoW and therefore we are seeing significant demand for our services and as such we are investing and growing the team. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will manage a team of multidisciplined engineers through the completion of the new and existing projects we have with our clients. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of these projects and ensure that the work completed by the team is to the expected quality standards. Responsibilities: · Lead a team of multidisciplined engineers through project activities to complete projects in a timely manner to high quality standards. · Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. · Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to effectively align project expectations and outcomes. · Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. · Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions. · Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. · Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. · Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance. · Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates. · Review and approve project documentation. · Lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders. · Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage · You should excel in working with clients and being able to facilitate the development of Projects within the Statement of Work arena. Skills, Competencies and Experiences: · Master's degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree or demonstrate significant equivalent experience · Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment · CEng status preferred. · Ability to work with multiple stakeholders. · Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package. · Strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way. · Ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly. · Due to security restrictions this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
