Job description To work with Skillnet learners working towards level 2-5 apprenticeship standards in: Business Services * Business Administration * Operations Management * Team Leader * Customer service * Learning & Skills Assessor * Learning & Skills Coach To work with Skillnet learners towards individual qualifications embedded in associated apprenticeship framework / standard: * Vehicle Parts VRQ To deliver a blended programme covering both knowledge and skills/competence using a wide range of learning materials to encompass and enhance various learning and teaching styles to meet the standards of curriculums, and both internal quality measures and external audit requirements. The position will be responsible for providing our students with a safe learning environment from which outstanding teaching and practical skills training can be delivered. Objective is to provide delegates with an appropriate environment within which to be trained and assessed. Whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of delivery, with support and guidance from colleagues and Quality Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity which will benefit a person with good organisation skills and is forward thinking to develop Teaching and Learning guides, leaner’s notes, lesson plans and schemes of work to meet the national occupational standards. The key responsibility of the position is to deliver outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the DAF, Skillnet Daventry, MAN and Iveco training facilities in line with the requirements of the Business services Curriculums. Dependant on Workload, this role may come with Skills Coach responsibilities for a small cohort of apprentices within commutable distance of the Tutors home location. Volume of Cohort to be discussed and agreed with immediate line manager. KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES The successful applicant will be expected to: Teach on all Business Services Apprenticeships delivered by Skillnet – to include Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours. Fully engage in general teaching, tutorials, student assessment, curriculum development, counselling, preparing materials and assignments, marking work and examinations, educational guidance, supervision of student visit programmes, personal and professional development. Participate in course development and delivery, including short- and long-term curriculum planning, preparation of assessment materials and strategies, working in conjunction with other members of the Course Team to draft schemes of work. Support the delivery, assessment and internal verification of both apprenticeship standards and Frameworks. Be responsible for all apprentices gateway application and EPA guidance. Act as a personal tutor for students, including the completion of student progress files. Integrate and map functional skills within the curriculum. Collate student records and other administrative duties related to teaching and learning. Provide constructive feedback on English & Maths to students in the context of their vocational assignments. Develop quality resources (including e-resources) which support the development of delivering Functional skills. Contribute to the development and implementation of flexible learning materials across the curriculum area. Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time. The successful candidate will have the following essential qualifications, experience, and skills: GCSEs at grade A*-C (new grades 4-9) in English and maths, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications Teaching qualification at Level 3 (i.e., AET/PTLLS) or higher Assessor (CAVA) and/or IQA awards Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle Previous experience of delivering engaging and meaningful learning activities and training workshops Experience of delivering Functional Skills in maths and English up to Level 2 Ability to deliver high quality training sessions to meet Ofsted standards and exceptional learner engagement (this will be assessed through a microteach during interview process) Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload Ability to work in a team and remotely and influence positive delivery methods within the team Experience of creating resources and curriculum development for delivery Knowledge of Ofsted regulatory framework and quality and compliance measures Skillnet is an equal opportunities employer.
