About The Role We are currently looking for experienced apprenticeship coaches to join our team. The successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of our Solicitor Apprenticeships by providing pastoral support and mentoring to our learners in the legal industry. Candidates do not require any formal qualifications in Law or Legal services, we are looking for experienced Coaches that are able to support the learner journey and be the main contact for employers/learners. As a progress coach, it is your responsibility to maintain the apprenticeship fundamentals as all teaching and learning for the apprenticeship will be carried out by law lecturers. It will be your role to check assessment results and signpost learners to the correct sessions, led by experts, to cover any gaps in knowledge. Your Role: You will be managing 55-60 learners throughout their learning journey on the solicitor’s apprenticeship You will be responsible for carrying out monthly progress checks covering apprenticeship fundamentals including safeguarding, British values, health and safety, along with monitoring of learner wellbeing. You will carry out inductions and progress reviews with learners and employers, addressing any issues and planning individualised learning to meet their needs You will be responsible for recording and documenting how learners apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge in their day to day roles including maintaining the OTJ log You will set clear objectives to support their timely progression in line with the curriculum, identifying slow progress and putting targets in place for timely completion You will liaise with Lecturers and schedule learners on sessions to support individual learner needs You will be responsible for supporting learners through their learning journey to successful completion of their exams You will review and provide feedback on progress towards modules supporting the achievement of the final EPA exams You’ll also identify ongoing learners who are at risk of failing to meet the requirements of Gateway and assessment. You’ll proactively communicate with the delivery team to ensure learner support & progression You’ll maintain all the documentation to meet ESFA requirements including reporting non attendance and punctuality About You: You will be experienced in the delivery of apprenticeships in any sector and hold a Level 3 or above teaching qualification. Teaching experience is preferred but the role will not directly involve teaching or tutoring, as the lecturers will be responsible for all learning delivery. You must have excellent organisational skills to coordinate learners training plans and signpost them to relevant workshops and sessions. You will need to learn and understand all modules linked to the SQE 1 and SQE 2 curriculum, in house training will be provided on the Solicitor apprenticeship requirements to prepare you fully for the role. Experience of working with apprenticeship for at least 5 years is essential with a strong background in facilitating apprentices to completion. You must be driven, organised and able to manage a demanding job role to help individuals further their career. We are looking for someone that is ambitious and can share their expertise.
