Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and integration of battery management systems and advanced energy technologies such as solid-state batteries
• Conduct complex power system studies, including load flow, protection coordination, and stability analyses
• Oversee system integration efforts for energy storage and power distribution systems
• Provide high-level technical guidance throughout project life cycles from proposal to commissioning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver complete solutions
• Prepare and review technical documents including specifications, reports, and design packages
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutions
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and serve as a technical reviewer for engineering deliverables
• Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as the Agile Energy Services Hub and other business growth areas
Requirements
• Masters/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems engineering or energy technology development
• Proven experience in battery management systems and/or energy storage system integration
• Strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems
• Experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD, ETAP, PSSE, or MATLAB/Simulink
• Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and regulatory frameworks
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with experience leading engineering teams
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Previous experience working on R&D or innovation projects is a plus
• Working location is in Ang Mo Kio
