We are working with a Local Authority in the Greater Manchester Region looking for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join their busy department on an interim basis.
The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in:
- Childcare Law matters
- Advocacy before Courts (essential)
- Expertise in dealing with a wide range of matters including:
- Court and tribunal matters including CMC’s, IRH’s, PLO’s and Directions Hearings
- Handling a personal portfolio of childcare cases
- Representing the Council in legal proceedings concerning children in the Family Court
- Matters including Public Law, Care Proceedings, Adoption, Child Protection, Fostering
- Advising, negotiating and drafting legal documents to the decisions of the Client Directorate and the Council
Pay rate is between £45-60 per hour.
The council offers a hybrid working environment. This is a full-time position.
The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. Previous childcare legal experience is essential.
