Facilitate Search is partnering with a fast growing FM organisation to recruit a Static Mechanical Engineer to join their team working in a high end residential building in Chelsea.
The Role
- Manage the maintenance, inspection, and fault diagnosis of all mechanical plant and systems, including Heat Interface Units (HIUs), circulating pumps, valves, HVAC systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Ensure all HIUs are operating efficiently, conducting regular performance checks, and carrying out repairs or replacements as needed.
- Monitor and maintain pumps, including booster sets, sump pumps, and pressurization units, ensuring optimal operation and longevity.
- Conduct routine inspection, testing, and servicing of mechanical valves (isolation, pressure reducing, safety relief, etc.) to prevent failure and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive works while minimizing disruption to residents.
- Collaborate with BMS operators to monitor and control building services performance.
