Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is thrilled to announce the introduction of nursing care within our Transitional Care Service, spanning both the Queen\’s Medical Centre (QMC) and Nottingham City Hospital campuses. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Band 5 Neonatal Transitional Care Nurses to join us and shape the future of care for babies and their families.

Working within the maternity and neonatal services at NUH offers an unparalleled opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest and most respected teaching hospital trusts. NUH supports over 8,000 births annually across its campuses, includes a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, midwifery‑led units and home birth services. Qualifications & Requirements

  • NMC registration (Adult or Children’s Nurse).
  • Experience in neonatal care (further training will be provided).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Competent in giving IV medications.
  • Competent, or willing to gain competence, to take peripheral blood samples.
  • Experience of supervising non‑registered staff.
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality, family‑centred care.
  • Excel in prioritising and delegating workload.
  • Able to manage a caseload of patients.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Motivated.
