nexos are looking for enthusiastic Trainee Cost Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. This is an Aberdeen based role.
An important role in the cost function, responsible for aiding in delivery of all cost reporting, management and control activities within a contract. This role will provide assistance to the Cost / Snr Cost Engineers and Project/Contract Manager with the preparation and administration of cost data. The role will also work closely with the Cost/Snr Cost Engineers to learn and develop skills and experience to progress in the role, including budgeting, forecasts, analysis, control measures and reporting.
This role requires reports and deliverables to be issued on time and to the expected quality standards. The role will look to establish and develop a good working relationship with client project controls counterparts and demonstrate high levels of professional conduct and discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Attending cost meetings within the contract.
- Supporting data collation, reconciliation and integrity checks.
- Administering the cost control applications
- Supporting the preparation of cost reports, forecasts and analysis.
- Preparation of timely and accurate invoicing
- Driving personal skills development and progression with support of management
- Compliance with cost control procedures and templates and will support periodic audit work to ensure consistency of application use.
