Working in the Business Partnering team within the Finance function, the role is responsible for tasks such as reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while providing business partnering and financial analysis support to various departments.

Closing Date: 6th August 2025

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Principality Stadium, Cardiff

Hours of work: 35 hours per week.Monday to Friday.

The Person

  • Experience working in a similar role within a Finance team.
  • Working towards a professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience working with Accounting and Finance systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft package
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable

The Role

  • Support Finance Business Partners with day‑to‑day financial tasks and the preparation of regular reporting.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process by gathering data, performing analysis, and providing in‑year forecasting support.
  • Deliver proactive business partnering and financial analysis to a variety ofdepartments, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain cost centre reports, collaborating with cost owners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely follow‑up.
  • Monitor and update event forecasts in partnership with operational teams, investigating variances and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
  • Manage and update third‑party promoter reconciliations before and after events.
  • Actively contribute to the delivery of the WRU Group’s strategic mission, purpose, and values in all financial activities

WRU Requirements

The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver\’s License is desirable.
