This is a fixed-term post until 31/10/2025, based in the Clydebank Area.
This part-time position offers a pro-rata salary based on hours worked.
The post holder will assist in the daily operational requirements of the catering service at this premise. Responsibilities include basic food preparation, serving all foods in compliance with the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drinks in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2008, adherence to relevant legislation, and setting up/clearing away food service equipment.
Additional duties involve maintaining high standards of cleanliness, including crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and areas such as the kitchen, dining room, staff rest room, and toilets. The post holder must follow Food Safety Systems, Safe Systems of Work, and Health and Safety Legislation.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and prior experience in similar roles are advantageous. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or similar qualification is essential for this role.
Requirements
This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020. Membership of the PVG scheme is required, with further details available here. Preferred applicants will need to join the PVG scheme or undergo an update check before a formal offer is made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
