The main purpose of this role will be to manage requirements for MP&L Launch activities in Solihull. To drive the successful launch of new products and manufacturing lines, leveraging my expertise in launch planning, execution, and problem-solving to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective transitions from development to production, meeting business objectives and customer expectations.
WHAT YOU\’LL NEED
As the Material Plan and Logistics – Launch Leader, you\’ll:
- Ensure clear communication and appropriate escalation of issues which may affect continuity of launch through Daily management of activities and meeting cadence.
- Coordinate with MP&L cross functional team, Engineering, Programme, Plant Production, Purchasing and STA in the effective resolution of launch issues that risk ongoing and future Plant performance and vehicle Launch.
- Management of all Launch activities with peers within Launch function of MP&L
- Manage the overall section workload during steady state and peak periods.
- Ensure that key Department business documentation and reports are prepared, updated, and appropriately distributed to meet deadlines.
- Drive ‘Cost down’ and identify areas of waste through appropriate toolset and techniques. Ensure the team mindset harnesses our competitive direction to remain best in class.
WHAT YOU\’LL NEED
With this role you\’ll have previous experience of project management, Agile and operational flow within a Logistics environment as well as this you\’ll
- Strong Analytical and Investigation skills
- Strong collaborative Stakeholder management
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills (written & verbal) with ability to use own initiative
- Working knowledge of Logistics and Material Flow
- Relevant previous experience of project management, Agile and operational flow within a Logistics environment
- Ability to maintain and interpret logistics data knowledge and skills with a broad understanding of the interfaces into vehicle platforms and plants
