About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.

We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.

Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.

About the Team

You’ll be working within the multi-disciplinary Industrial Design Team in King\’s Cross, London, alongside other designers, creative technologists, and engineers to invent, prototype, and ship the technology of the future. We are looking for an expert-level design practitioner to help us imagine our next generation of product interfaces, interactions, and features. As a hardware company, this role is not just a digital design job; you will have strong professional experience interfacing with the hardware domain. You will be the most senior digital craftsperson in the Industrial Design Team, expected to mentor junior designers, and your work will directly influence the launch of new product categories.

What You\’ll Do

  • Lead the vision for our next generation of product interfaces, interactions, and features, ensuring they are designed to inspire and reflect our bold aesthetic direction.
  • Run complex interface design projects independently, managing all schedules and defining the clear technical product requirements for successful implementation.
  • Craft boundary-pushing graphics, UI concepts, and expressive motion for interfaces across the product ecosystem.
  • Research, conceive, specify, and pitch novel interaction systems, features, and whole product concepts to drive excellence in the user experience.
  • Design interaction systems that directly intersect hardware and software (e.g., tactile controls, small wearable displays), demonstrating your hybrid product experience.
  • Work in direct collaboration with engineers (software + hardware) and creative technologists to translate sharp concepts into mass-produced reality.
  • Mentor the team and champion our bold aesthetic, providing meticulous attention to detail and ensuring great taste across all deliverables.
  • What We\’re Looking For

  • World-class concept-generation and digital design skills, with the ability to craft pixel-perfect assets.
  • Wizard-level proficiency at both Figma and After Effects.
  • Deep professional experience designing interaction systems that span both the hardware and software domain.
  • A product person with strong drive and ownership who can speak some of the same language as engineers to communicate clearly and solve problems together.
  • Training in Industrial Design, Engineering, HCI, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Human Factors—but ultimately defined by your skill as an incredible digital craftsperson.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the pragmatism to define technical requirements and manage schedules autonomously.
  • Amazing collaboration skills and a hunger to continuously research and pitch original concept generation.
  • How We Work

  • We build better tech by moving fast. That speed demands direct collaboration and shared creative energy. We believe the best work happens when we\’re together.
  • Location: London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices).
  • Working Pattern: This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week). We move fast, and that means being physically present. We design flexibility around personal needs, but we focus on the magic that sparks when we’re all in the same room.
  • Commute: We ask that you live within a 60-minute commute of your home office location.
  • Lead Product Interface Designer employer: Nothing
