GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading mobile CCTV tower manufacturing, installation & maintenance business, recruiting for an entry level Junior Engineer / Junior Technician to work within the South Yorkshire workshop, as well as out in the field on clients sites. This is a great opportunity for a technical minded individual, someone who may have recently completed an apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical engineering or been working as an entry level / junior level technician or engineer for a couple of years & who is seeking an engineering / manufacturing employer that will train & develop them. You will be working on various size towers with standard heights of 7 metres. Ideally you will have some form of experience / knowledge of metal fabrication, some basic electrical skills, setting up routers, wireless connections, IP, solar powered products, battery storage, 240v power supply, transformers, sensors, basic wiring such as mobile unit / trailer lights, illumination, wiring plugs & basic control panels, as well as some experience with various mechanical tasks. CCTV knowledge would be an advantage but isn't essential as training would be given. Duties: * Complete build of mobile CCTV towers (basic electrical & mechanical) * Installing various components & parts (some of the skills noted above) * Ensure mobile towers are road worthy (lights, tyre pressure / treads) * Maintaining / repairing CCTV towers once returned to the workshop * Workshop & field based technician tasks (installs, repairs etc.) * Other engineering support as required Experience: * Some form of basic engineering / manufacturing qualification (NVQ L2 or similar) within mechanical or electrical disciplines * Basic wiring skills ideal * Technician or Junior Engineer level experience * Trailer or mobile machinery / mobile products experience would be ideal but not essential as training given. * Technical minded If you are a Junior Engineer, Technician, Maintenance Technician, Installation Technician, Workshop Technician, Workshop Engineer, Field Technician, Engineering Apprentice (recently completed apprenticeship) then this could well be the role for you. The role is commutable from Doncaster, Pontefract, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Gainsborough, Barnsley, Wakefield, Sheffield, Pontefract, Selby, Goole, Scunthorpe, Retford & Worksop, plus other Towns, Cities & Villages close to these key catchment areas.
