Job Title: CD Finance Manager
Location: Kingston Head Office
Reporting to: UKI Foods Senior Finance Manager
JOB PURPOSE
This role is positioned within the Foods UKI Finance team (circa €550m turnover business), as UKI Foods Finance Manager with key responsibilities for CD Finance. The role will report into the UKI Foods Senior Finance Manager. The role will partner the Foods CD Director and all Foods CBMs, to drive the performance management agenda and ensure we are fit to win with our customers. This role is at the heart of the business, covering activities from business planning, trade investment evaluation and in-market business unit execution. The role will work closely with BU teams across finance, CSP, CD, marketing as well as Controllers and CD Finance Operations teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Core:
- Support and challenge the CD team on stronger performance using the business insights from Trade Promotional Analysis tool (TPA), Anaplan, Market Heartbeat and Profit Pool to enable data driven strategy and decision making using internal and external data sets.
- Critically assess investment proposals while supporting and influencing CD teams to make the best data led decisions for the business.
- Support in the customer joint business planning process bringing expertise in business unit strategy to customer negotiations.
- Working with FET, Controllers and BU cross functional teams to provide key insights and analysis for customer investment decisions or market share performance in a specific cell and generating recommendations for corrective action.
- Challenging the short-term forecast and reviewing it against short and long-term targets and ambition to identify risks and opportunities, with focus on partnering for value
- Preparing material for the CD Business performance reviews as the finance representative.
- Identify interventions and process simplifications driving joined up E2E finance processes within the BU.
- Understanding external drivers of customer and business unit performance bringing insight to customer teams and driving action across CSP and CD to ensure that we focus on business value and winning in the market.
Additional:
- Grip and control of BG Specific Overheads, working with the leadership team to deliver in line with target & budgets. Ensuring a clear narrative and understanding of performance to manage risks and opps.
- Revenue Growth Management partnering with CS&P to build clear plans that will need delivery via innovation and renovation along with changes in promo mechanics.
- Informal line management to UFLP and IP working in the team. Providing support and also development opportunities for them to work in the CDF area.
