The Role
Condé Nast is looking for a talented and experienced Acting Senior Director of Events to lead the UK Events Centre of Excellence, who delivers special projects and events for the Condé Nast brands. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, UK and working closely with Editors and Condé Nast Commercial Creative, this role is responsible for developing and executing an events strategy and leading a team of specialised Events managers.
What will you be doing?

Develop and implement an events strategy to advance Condé Nast’s industry leadership role in the events space.

Build and motivate the Lifestyle, Fashion, Luxury & Beauty events team that collaborates with and complements our local teams to successfully deliver large-scale events, making sure these continue to align with the event strategy and revenue goals.

Act as a leader and liaison with key stakeholders in the market, influencing and creating effective relationships.

Working with the Editorial leaders and teams to set the strategy and vision of the events portfolio.

Oversee, develop and maintain the existing British Vogue event strategy and act as lead for this title within the team; concepting and delivering events that deliver against the new and ongoing editorial vision for this brand.

Communicate the Condé Nast events offering, solutions and capabilities in a clear, compelling message. Collaborating with the Commercial and Consumer Revenue teams to build messaging that drives revenue generated through events.

Regularly develop strategies, implement processes and facilitate communication across Events, Marketing, Sales, Research, Consumer and Editorial teams.

Budget, forecast and plan (annual and continuous) for the events portfolio; manage P&L for all events.

Develop talent within the central event team; driving a culture of collaboration, performance, respect and excellence through effective coaching.

Collaborate with senior leaders within Condé Nast’s Commercial Creative function to establish slick processes and ways of working that support the teams in delivering tentpole events for our hero titles.
About You:

Significant commercial experience in events management.

Demonstrated track record of successfully leading a team to activate complex tentpole events.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive working environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.

Established relationships and contacts within relevant industries.

Experience in event production management.

An excellent communicator with proven ability to navigate a complex matrix structure, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders in various markets and functions.

Adaptability and a keen understanding of evolving industry landscapes and trends.
