We are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our dynamic Corporate Tax team at Fieldfisher. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading tax professionals on complex and high-profile matters across a range of sectors.
Few law firms contain a tax group of our breadth and depth. The tax partners are highly experienced, but also down to earth and hands-on. Our clients span the firm\’s specialist sectors. They range from multinational groups through to high-net-worth individuals. This mix brings variety to the Corporate Tax role. The team concentrates on doing profitable work well and you will find the right level of support with which to develop responsibility in the role. We adopt a friendly \”can do\” approach to our work.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on UK corporate tax matters, including M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations, and corporate finance.
- Supporting transactional teams with tax structuring and negotiation of deal documentation.
- Drafting tax-related provisions in commercial agreements and preparing technical notes.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and other advisers to deliver clear and practical tax advice.
- Conducting legal research and contributing to internal know-how and client briefings.
Experience and Knowledge
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ level).
- Completion of a training seat in tax is preferred.
- Strong academic background and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and drafting abilities.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service.
- Enthusiasm for developing a career in corporate tax law.
