Head of Accounting

We Do Group is supporting a highly successful, international consulting group with the hire of a newly created accounting leadership role.
This role offers the opportunity to join an established international organisation, underpinned by sound systems and processes, with a remit to refine and enhance across the accounting function.
We are looking for an experienced operator at a Controller/Senior Manager/Head of level who enjoys being the key cog in the accounting and reporting machine!
This position works closely with the Group FD as well as accounting service providers and colleagues internationally.

The Role
The successful Head of Accounting will lead the following:
- Ensure timely production, consolidation, review and analysis of monthly management accounts for 12+ international entities
- Work with the Finance Managers on the annual audits for UK and selected international entities.
- Responsible for tax submissions and compliance across international entities, including VAT, Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing in collaboration with the external tax consultants.
- Maintenance of Cash Flow forecasts
- Ownership of the budgeting process for all cost centres.
- Prepare and maintain US GAAP to local international GAAP analysis and US GAAP and local international GAAP to tax analysis.
- Cash Management for the international entities including review of bank statements and preparing monthly cash requirements for the Treasury team.
- Management of the Financial Reporting and Accounts Payables teams including oversight of their day-to-day activities and review of work.
- Assist in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in business process improvement initiatives and related implementations.
- Perform special purpose and/or ad hoc analyses as required.
- Be the main point of contact for external accounting providers internationally as well as queries in the wider international finance and operations team.
Your Profile
We are looking for a diligent, practice trained, finance leader who has a technical accounting, reporting and compliance background in complex international organisations.
We need someone detail orientated who seeks to improve processes and procedures wherever possible.
The business culture is agile and collaborative so you\’ll need to have the ability to challenge internal and stakeholders when appropriate while pro-actively seeking to make improvements wherever possible.
This could be an excellent step for someone already operating as a Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager, Financial Reporting Manager or similar but equally would be an interesting step for someone already in a Head of or Group Financial Controller type role in a smaller organisation
Salary & Benefits
£120-130k + bonus and benefits. This role is based in stunning offices near Wimbledon and will require in office presence 3 days per week. There is also the opportunity for international travel on occasion.
