The team

Our Private Wealth team offers expert advice on UK tax and estate planning, trusts, trust administration, and landed estates. They collaborate closely with colleagues in other departments to assist individuals with matters related to residential property, employment, business affairs, and family law.

The opportunity

We are seeking a Legal Director (or ambitious Senior Associate) to ensure the continued success of the department, handling a diverse workload with a high-quality client base. Responsibilities include tax, trusts, and estate planning for private clients and professional/corporate trustees, including advice on wills, trusts, EPAs, LPAs, tax planning, trust administration, probate, and estate administration.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a caseload of quality, mixed work, including wills, trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  2. Ensure all client work progresses efficiently, with regular updates on progress, fees, and disbursements.
  3. Participate in promoting the firm’s services through marketing events, writing articles for newsletters and external journals, and engaging in business development activities.

Knowledge/Experience

  • 8+ years PQE (lower PQE candidates may also be considered)
  • Experience leading a team is desirable but not essential
