What You\’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Editor, you will work with the Editor to commission and develop magazine and online content, ensuring all features reflect the values of The Field brand. This includes generating original ideas and shaping them into engaging editorial pieces that uphold the magazine\’s prestigious reputation both in print and online.
A key responsibility is to maintain the quality and consistency of The Field\’s content across all platforms. This includes managing external contributors, ensuring their work is delivered on time and to brief, and using editorial networks to source the best writers and content. Strong editing and proofreading skills are important to maintain editorial excellence.
You will oversee the entire production process of the magazine, from initial planning and flat planning to final completion. This includes managing all editorial systems, coordinating with production and editorial teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of each issue.
Digital responsibilities include managing The Field\’s website and social media channels, ensuring they are updated regularly with engaging content.
Further responsibilities include managing subscription campaigns related to the magazine and online presence, and maintaining relationships with advertisers and sponsors. You will be a brand ambassador at events and in meetings, supporting the Editor and representing The Field.
