We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for the Family Support team within Luton County Council.

Responsibilities:

• Using professional knowledge and experience, carry out duties as a Social Worker within Specialist Services, assessing the needs of children, young people, and their families.
• Analyze information, develop, and implement care plans and interventions to ensure the child\’s safety, well-being, and development into adulthood, in line with policies, legislation, and professional codes of practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the directorate, Council, and partner agencies to meet the needs of the child.
• Support children within their families or in care settings, taking timely action to protect children and working with other services to meet their needs across all 5 Every Child Matters outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of data and equipment issued.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 24 months\’ management experience in a similar Health and Social Care environment within a statutory setting.
• Degree level qualification.
• 2 years\’ management experience within the UK.
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained for you).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
