Major Talent are currently recruiting for an experienced QA or Technical professional, to join an established FMCG business. As part of the ongoing growth plan, as Technical Supervisor you will be an integral part of the site Technical Team. This role will be site based. We’re recruiting for a Technical Supervisor to join a leading food processor supplying major UK retailers. You’ll play a key role in supporting the technical function, ensuring food safety, legal compliance, and retailer standards are upheld at all times. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong QA/technical background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow their leadership skills within a dynamic and supportive team. Working hours will be Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm although some flexibility will be required to meet production requirements. Salary up to £40,000 d.o.e. + benefits Key Responsibilities as Technical Supervisor: * Supervise the day-to-day running of the QA/technical team on site * Ensure adherence to BRCGS, customer COPs, and internal quality systems * Conduct internal audits and support external audits including customer visits * Support with investigation of non-conformances, complaints, and root cause analysis * Drive food safety culture and ensure hygiene, GMP and traceability standards are consistently met * Train, support and develop QA operatives to deliver excellent standards * Ensure product specifications and factory documentation are maintained and up to date * Work cross-functionally with production, hygiene, and NPD teams to support continuous improvement Requirements: * Previous experience in a QA/Technical role within food manufacturing * Knowledge of BRCGS, retailer codes of practice (Tesco, M&S, Aldi etc.), HACCP and traceability systems * Strong communication and organisation skills * Ability to work under pressure in a chilled/high-care environment * Food Safety & HACCP qualification (Level 3 or working towards) * Experience supervising or mentoring staff is desirable What’s On Offer: * Competitive salary based on experience * Opportunity to work with well-known UK retailers * Career development and training opportunities * Supportive technical and quality team * A business passionate about food, safety and innovation Major Recruitment act as an Employment Agency for permanent roles and an Employment Business for temporary opportunities.
