One of Europe’s leading general contractors is actively seeking a mission critical experienced, Health & Safety Advisor to work on a flagship data centre project in South Wales. In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Project delivery ability, proven track record and background in mission critical is essential. You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practises. Salary is very much dependant on experience, but there is flexibility for high performers who have successfully delivered large commercial projects in the past. Salary DOE – £60-65k + package Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities: * Assist in developing and implementing EHS strategies and policies to: * Help ensure the safety of all employees, contractors and visitors * Ensure ongoing legal compliance * Keep up to date with current UK legislation and industry best practice and share this information with site staff * Take a key role in maintaining/improving our overall safety performance and that of our supply chain partners * Attend all pre-commencement meetings and agree which RAMS need your review * Review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) as required * Sit with and mentor site management teams in site set up, preparing H&S documents or presentations such as RAMS, toolbox talks, etc. * Perform periodic site inspections and prepare relevant audit reports * Attend internal project meeting to discuss specific issues when activities on site require * Take the lead in accident investigations Health & Safety Advisor Requirements: * NEBOSH Qualification essential * Excellent knowledge of H&S requirements in Irish or UK Construction Industry * Good knowledge of current technical building requirements * Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Proactive with strong problem-solving ability If you would like to apply for this ole, please forward your latest CV using the email link provided or call Niall directly on (phone number removed)
