Job Details

Salary: £24,570 (£12,285 pro rata) per annum

Hours: 18.75 hours per week (Part time, flexible shifts Monday to Sunday). Post holders must be able to work flexible shifts Monday to Sunday. There is also a requirement to be available for sleep-in duties (separate allowance paid).

Location: Acocks Green, Birmingham

We are a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. As a Residential Support Worker, you will work in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties using a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on maintaining and strengthening their presence in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate recovery activities and support residents on a rota basis.
  • Be pleasant, respectful, approachable, easy to speak to, willing to listen and able to think on your feet.
  • Support individuals who experience mental health distress living in a Residential Care Home.
  • Promote recovery and community presence through person-centred care.
  • Work in partnership with residents to achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 12 months of experience in an adult social care environment or health and social care setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate Birmingham Minds values.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including sleep-in duties (with separate allowance).
  • Interest in working with people who experience mental health difficulties.
