DaVita is looking for a FLOAT Patient Care Tech to serve our patients in the greater Faribault, MN area.
Position Details:
- Home clinic will be Faribault
- Float to Northfield, Mankato, and Rochester as needed
- $2.75 float shift differential in the float pool
- Work 10-12+ hour shifts, 3-4 days a week, including every other Saturday
- Shifts start as early as 4:00 AM, no work on Sundays
- Paid training for new dialysis teammates, including classroom and hands-on training
- Reimbursement for Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, caring for up to 4 patients at a time
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, record stats, observe patients, set up machines
- Continuously seek process improvements for patients and teammates
- Build long-term relationships with patients, educate them on dialysis topics
- Work under RN supervision in a cross-functional team
- Shifts vary, starting early morning based on patient needs
Requirements:
- Desire to enter healthcare to care for others
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort working around blood and needles, mixing acids or bicarb
- Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
- Ability to work long hours on your feet
- Willing to train and work across multiple clinics
- Healthcare experience or certifications like CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy preferred
